What Does "Accredited" Mean?
It's an SEC term for investors who meet certain financial thresholds. For individuals, that generally means:
- Income over $200,000 in each of the last two years ($300,000 with a spouse or partner), and expecting the same this year, or
- Net worth over $1 million, not counting your home, or
- Holding a Series 7, 65, or 82 license
